Collision closes Hwy 17 near Kenora

A collision near Kenora closed Highway 17 for a few hours on Sunday.

The incident occurred west of Kenora at Inglis Road.

Provincial Police say two transports were involved but no serious injuries were reported.

Social media posts indicated that a transport trailer tipped over and a few cows were wandering the area.

OPP states late Sunday night that crews were still working to wrangle the cattle.

They were also advising snowmobilers to avoid using nearby trails.

Traffic through the area was reduced to one lane for much of the day.
