The flushing of hydrants starts today in the Municipality of Red Lake.
Northern Waterworks will be carrying out the work in order to maintain the water system.
This will impact all residents and businesses in Red Lake, Cochenour, Balmertown, McKenzie Island and Madsen.
If you notice any discolouration of the drinking water, you are asked to run the tap water until it clears.
It is recommended that you shut off the water in your tank from 8:00am to 6:00pm to prevent water hammer in older tanks.
The flushing is scheduled to last until July 1st with a break during weekends.
