Hydro back on in Sioux Lookout

The power is back on in Sioux Lookout after a seven hour power outage last night.

Sioux Lookout Hydro says the electricity went out around 8:45, and came back at 4:00 this morning.

A spokesperson for the company says it had to do with their Hydro One feed.

A tree fell on the main line from Kenora to Dryden and affected power to all the residents in the community.

Hydro One says the outage only affected Sioux Lookout, but none of their customers in the area.
