The power wasn’t supposed to go out in the west end of the Rainy River District on Sunday since a planned outage was cancelled.
But the outage did go ahead after all and nearly everyone was caught by surprise.
Hydro One spokesperson Peter Gregg notes officials are still trying to find out why but realize there has been communication error.
