Hydro One is reporting more than a hundred power outages across northwestern Ontario due to the heavy and wet snow.
Some 410 customers in the Dryden and Wabigoon area are without power.
Hydro One hopes to restore power at 9:30 tonight.
It’s a different story to the west and south.
310 customers in the Highway 594 corridor will be in the dark until tomorrow afternoon.
The same goes for some 400 customers between Oxdrift and Vermilion Bay.
Eagle River has about 50 who have no electricity until tomorrow.
All outages are expected to be resolved by 3:00.
The situation is dire in the Kenora area, where 50 separate outages have knocked out power to more than 3,000 customers.
Hydro One says power could be restored late tonight, but a number of customers won’t have electricity until 3 tomorrow afternoon.
