Hydro Plant Delayed

Disappointed but not deterred.
Ear Falls Mayor Jim Desmarais is putting on a brave face after word
that Ontario Power Generation has delayed construction of the Hydro-Electric
Power Plant.
Concerns raised by Lac Seul has put the project on the shelf for this
year and Desmarais says the outstanding issues need to be resolved first.
Lac Seul wants an outstanding grievance concerning the flooding of
First Nation land addressed before construction moves forward.
Desmarais feels the Township is making great strides with Lac Seul
and believes the 12-megawatt Station will be built next year.
