The Dryden Ice Dogs-Borderland Thunder Tuesday night brawl is making
headlines across the country.
A number of media outlets from across Canada have picked up the story and it was even featured in the Edmonton Sun.
Meanwhile, the Borderland version of the melee is quite different then
Dryden’s.
In the Fort Frances Times, Coach Dave Allison stated his club didn’t do
anything wrong and he added he was trying to break the fight up when Larry
Wintoneak came over and suckered him when he was not looking.
Assistant Greg Madill added that they don’t regret the incident because
Dryden had it coming for a long time.
OPP continue to investigate the incident.
