Ice Dogs And Miners Kick Off 13th SIJHL Season

The Superior International Hockey League opens today with the leagues longest running franchise taking on the newest entry of the league.
The Dryden Ice Dogs host the English River Miners at 7:30 at the Memorial Arena.
Dogs Coach Paul MacLean says they have a lot of new faces in the line-up.
He says the first few weeks of the season will basically be a try-out.
Miners Coach Kevin Kahoot says his club is anxious to get going.
Dryden will continue the homestand with a series against Wisconsin Saturday and Sunday.
