It wasn’t pretty but the Dryden GM Ice Dogs did pick up a key two points in the SIJHL standings Friday night.
The Ice Dogs scored three unanswered goals in the third period en route to a 5-3 win over the Minnesota Iron Rangers in Hoyt Lakes.
Jacen Bracko scored two goals, including a shorthanded goal to help secure the win.
Derek McPhail, Nic Noseworthy and Braedyn Aubin also found the back of the net.
Ben Dennis made 30-saves for the victory.
The Ice Dogs remain three points back of first place Thunder Bay after the North Stars defeated English River 4-3.
Sidney Gladue, Michael DiLullo and Kole Comin scored for the Miners.
Spencer Eschyschyn returned to the lineup and made 26-saves.
