Ice Dogs Back In The Win Column

The cracking sound from the Fort Frances area wasn’t coming from the ice on the lakes. It came for the Ice For Kids Arena as two streaks were broken after the Dryden Ice Dogs scored a 3-0 win over the Borderland Thunder in SIJHL action. The Ice Dogs snapped a 7 game losing streak and brought a halt to the Thunder’s unbeaten string of 7. Jay Samsal notched his second goal of the year in what would be the winner while Konrad Bruetsch and Mike McIntyre each netted singles as well. Breton Lindoff earned the shut out for the Dogs. It’s now the Thunder’s turn to travel highway 502 as they come to Dryden to finish off the home and home set with Dogs Wednesday night.
