Ice Dogs Blank Wolverines

It was dueces wild at the Dryden Memorial Arena as the Dryden Ice Dogs scored 2 goals per period en route to a 6-0 win over the K and A Wolverines Saturday night. Peter Emery earned the shutout facing 24 shots while Kevin Burton notched a hat trick. Kyle Heck recorded the “Gordie Howe Hat Trick” adding a goal, an assist and a fight. Henry Vadnais and Tanner Harms also pitched in with singles. The Ice Dogs kept pace with the Fort William North Stars who beat the Fort Frances Lakers 4-2. Dryden trails the Stars by 2 points with a game in hand for first in the SIJHL. The Ice Dogs will host the Sioux Lookout Flyers Wednesday night.
