Ice Dogs Bounce Back But Miners Lose Another

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs stormed out of the gate with six straight goals and held on for a 6-4 win over Minnesota Saturday night.

Jacen Bracko led the attack with 3-goals and 1-assist. Cory Dennis and Malcolm Huemmert also found the back of the net, while Carson Lux scored his first SIJHL goal.

In Thunder Bay, the English River Miners squandered a two goal, third period lead, falling 5-4 in a shootout. Former Miner Alex Maticic scored the winner. Jacob Siebenga, Spencer Milne, Jared Janke and Sam Cirone scored for English River.

The Miners were outshot 54-28.

In Fort Frances, the Thief River Falls Norskies held off the Lakers 4-3.
