It was a barn burner at the Sioux Lookout Arena Wednesday night.
When the dust settled, the Dryden Ice Dogs escaped with a 5-4 shootout victory over the Flyers.
Dogs forward Kevin Burton scored 2-goals including the shootout winner and says his club was able to erase a couple of deficits.
Kevin Tomalty also found the back of the net in the shootout. while Sonny Albert didn’t allow a goal.
Blair Feller scored his first goal of the season, while Justin Lightfoot and Garret Nystead added singles.
Jeffrey Bienvenue led the way for the Flyers with a couple of goals, while Brad Bienvenu and Will Kinsman added singles.
Sioux Lookout will be back on home ice Thursday night against the Fort William North Stars.
