For the second straight game, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs offence was firing on all cylinders against the English River Miners.
The Dogs went perfect on the penalty kill and scored two short handed goals in a 9-2 win Sunday in front of a packed and electric crowd
Jacen Bracko scored two more and now has four in two games.
Brendan Jay also potted a couple, while Wyatt Lawrence, Woody Galbraith, Chris Atanas, Luke Bellrose and Josh Sylvain added singles.
Dryden’s Graham Oliphant picked up his first SIJHL point with an assist.
Cody Milgate and Dante Raposo replied for the Miners.
For the second straight game, Michael Lenko was chased from the game, allowing 7-goals on 33-shots.
Logan Sawka kicked aside 30 shots for his first SIJHL win.
The Ice Dogs will get a short break and are back in action at home Tuesday against Fort Frances.
The Miners will have some time to lick their wounds and they play the Lakers on Friday.
The game featured the unveiling of the Championship banner and greetings from Commissioner Brian Graham.
