The Dryden Ice Dogs are once again giving back to the community.
General Manager Brad Boyko joined some Ice Dogs players Wednesday to present a $2,455 cheque to the Oncology Unit at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
The money is from the October 5th Ice Dogs-Miners game and the sale of the special Cancer Awareness jerseys.
Boyko says they worked with Standard Insurance and all of the jerseys were sold.
He notes the Ice Dogs take great pride in these type of community projects.
Last year the junior hockey team donated money to the Bishop family and their fight against cancer.
The next fundraising game is the Military Awareness game on November 9th.
The special game day jerseys are now on sale.
