It wasn’t pretty, but it was a victory none the less for the Dryden Ice Dogs on the road.
Kevin Burton scored twice, including the lone goal in the shootout to lift the Dogs past the Fort Frances Lakers 3-2 Tuesday night.
Kyle Heck tied the game late in the third, while Josh Baker stopped 35-shots.
The Ice Dogs are now on their Christmas break, with their next action not until January 2nd.
The Dogs finish 2009 with a 23-4-4 record, good for second place in the SIJHL standings.
