Ice Dogs Fall in Overtime

The Dryden Ice Dogs put forward their best effort of the season, but came up just short against the Thunder Bay Bearcats.

Darren Cizmar’s second goal of the game in overtime lifted the Bearcats to a 4-3 win Saturday.

Jon Mitchell, Tanner Harms and Justin Lightfoot found the back of the net for the Dogs.

Dryden still walked away from the loss with a single point.

The Ice Dogs are back on home ice Wednesday against the Sioux Lookout Flyers.

In other SIJHL action, the Fort William North Stars downed Schreiber 10-2.

Both teams combined for 226 minutes in penalties.

The Diesels went 1-15 on the powerplay.
