It took a seven round shootout for the Fort Frances Lakers to pull out an entertaining 5-4 victory over the Dryden GM Ice Dogs Wednesday night.
Mason Meyer scored the eventual winner after Matt Houston forced additional shooters.
Ryan Scott forced overtime with a goal in the third period.
Troy Williams scored a pair, while Eric Masters added a single.
Dryden GM outshot the Lakers 43-35.
Despite the loss, the Ice Dogs still picked up a single point and are now one point back of third place Minnesota.
The Dogs and Iron Rangers play the next three days in a critical series in Hoyt Lakes.
