Ice Dogs Finish Regular Season With 12 Straight Wins

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs only had one lead but they made it count.

Playing in his first game of the year, Eagle Lake’s Matthew Pitchenese scored the winning goal with five minutes remaining to give the Ice Dogs a 3-2 win over Fort Frances Friday night.

Matt Leniuk tied the game in the third, while Braedan Allkins scored his 53rd of the year in the second.

Dryden GM outshot the Lakers 37-27, with Patrick Zubick earned the win.

The Ice Dogs will now have some time to heal as they won’t play again until the Semi-Final starts at home on March 29th.

The Lakers finished the regular season one game under .500, the first losing season since 2009-2010.
