The Dryden Ice Dogs played their best game of the SIJHL season Wednesday night, walking over the top ranked Fort Frances Lakers 6-1 at the Memorial Arena.
Jon Mitchell led the attack with 2-goals and 2-assists.
The captain says they came ready to play, with all four lines working hard.
Mitchell says the team has bought into the system and is improving each and every day.
Jesse Linner, Henry Vadnais and Ben Mclellan also found the back of the net, while Beau DiLoreto scored his first SIJHL goal.
Ian Perrier made 28-saves for the Dogs, who have now won 5 straight.
It was the third consecutive game where Dryden scored more then 5-goals.
The Dogs couldn’t take over third place in the standings however, as the Wisconsin Wilderness defeated Duluth 6-3.
