After a 4-2 loss to the Borderland Thunder Wednesday night, the Dryden Ice Dogs have decided to take a break.
After a hectic 60 days, Coach Larry Wintoneak says his club will have the weekend off.
Wintoneak says the players have been working hard and deserve a rest.
The Ice Dogs are past the quarter way mark of the season and sit third in the SIJHL standings with a 4-9 record.
Dryden has also played a league leading 13 games.
The Ice Dogs will resume practicing on Monday before heading to Fort Frances a week today in a rematch with the Borderland Thunder.
Action continues tonight and tomorrow with the K&A Golden Hawks visiting the Borderland Thunder and the Fort William North Stars hosting the Thunder Bay Bulldogs.
