The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have one goal in mind heading into a new SIJHL season and that’s to win the Bill Salonen Cup!
The journey starts Friday as the Ice Dogs open Training Camp at the Memorial Arena.
Coach Kurt Walsten says on paper they are already looking really good, but stresses the players need to put the work in and compete hard.
He says if they do that, they will have more depth then they did last season.
One area fans should watch for is on the back end as Dryden GM lost four high end defenceman.
Walsten says they did a great job recruiting, with three solid American players and two Canadian midget players.
Up front, the bulk of last years team is back, and Walsten says they did a great job in recruiting to fill in the gaps.
Training camp is open to the public.
The Inter-squad game goes Sunday at noon.
