It took some work but the Dryden GM Ice Dogs finally put away a persistant Fort Frances Lakers squad.
The Ice Dogs built up leads of 4-0 and 5-1 but had to hang on for a 5-4 win Tuesday night.
Eric Stout led the attack with three goals, while Tristan Knott and Garrett Graham added singles.
Dryden GM outshot the Lakers 36-30.
The Ice Dogs were forced to kill seven powerplays and allowed one goal, but didn’t receive a man advantage of their own.
They are now one point back of second in the SIJHL.
