The Dryden GM Ice Dogs are in need of billet families.
The organization is hosting a public meeting Thursday night to sign-up billets or to answer questions from anyone interested.
Shawna Sveinson was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today and she stressed if the players don’t have homes, the community doesn’t have a junior hockey team.
She says bringing in a player is a great way to volunteer, especially if you’re a busy person, as all you have to do is open up your home and your family.
Sveinson stresses the kids the bring in are great individuals and they become part of the family.
She is speaking on experience as her family participated in the program last year.
Shawna says her 6-year-old son looks up to his ‘Ice Dogs Brothers’.
The meeting starts at 7 o’clock at the Holiday Inn.
