Ice Dogs Leading Scorer Gains National Attention

National recognition for Dryden GM Ice Dogs star Braeden Allkins.

The 20-year-old from Golden, B.C. was featured on the weekly edition of Junior Hockey Magazine with TSN’s Geno Reda.

In the segment, Allkins talked about his record breaking year, crediting his teammates for his success.

Allkins set an Ice Dogs single season record in goals and points and was second in all of Canada for goals scored.

Allkins added he never thought he would be in the conversation for Player of the Year in all of Canadian Junior Hockey.

The winner will be announced next month at the Royal Bank Cup.

He says his focus right now is winning the Bill Salonen Cup, noting he wants to win the championship for the community and the organization that’s been so good to him and his teammates.
