Ice Dogs Lose Heartbreaker Late In Fort Frances

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs couldn’t hold on to a 3-1 lead and failed to capitalize on an opportunity to move up in the SIJHL standings last night.

The Ice Dogs allowed four goals in the third period en route to a 5-4 setback to the last place Fort Frances Lakers.

Kevin Bond scored the winner with 1:15 left to play in regulation time.

Scoring for Dryden GM were James Hooton, Landen Stromme, Ty Moore and Derek Koivisto.

The Ice Dogs outshot the Lakers 67-27.

Dryden returns home Saturday for the Pink the Rink cancer awareness game against Thunder Bay.
