Ice Dogs Lost Back And Forth Affair

If last night is any indication, the 3-game set between the Dryden Ice Dogs and Minnesota Iron Ranger is going to be a heck of series.
The Iron Rangers scored the winner with 1:28 remaining in the third to down the Dogs 4-3 in a fast and physical affair.
Dryden Coach Paul Maclean says a sloppy turnover in the defensive zone led to the winning goal.
Maclean says his team has to play with a sense of urgency and must limit the mistakes that have been made in recent games.
Eric Szymczyk was outstanding in net making 30 saves.
Tyson Holder, Evan Capobianco and Cole Sonstebo scored for the Ice Dogs.
Minnesota is now 1-point back of the Ice Dogs in the SIJHL standings and the two teams are back in action tonight at 7:30.
Friday is the Dingwall Ford game and the first 50-kids get in free.
All kids under the age of 14 get their name in a draw to shoot for prizes including an Ipad Mini.
Saturday is the Cancer Awareness game.
The Ice Dogs will be wearing their special cancer awareness jersey and all donations will be accepted for Hudson Bishop.
Hudson is the son of former Ice Dog and Dryden Eagle Shaun Bishop.
Hudson is 1-years-old and is batteling cancer.
Game times Friday and Saturday are 7:30.
