It was another classic between Dryden and the Borderland Thunder with
the Ice Dogs skating away with a come from behind 3-2 victory Wednesday night at
the ‘Dog Pound’.
Trailing 2-1 in the third, Liam Walker and Jamie Davies played the role
of hero, both scoring for Dryden.
Cody Mosbeck scored earlier in the game on the powerplay.
Sean Szachury made 29 saves for the win, including a stop on a
penalty shot with 1 minute left in the game.
Its now 6 in a row for the Ice Dogs who will now prepare for the
Thunder Bay Bulldogs Friday and Saturday on home ice.
Elsewhere in the SIJHL Wednesday night, Brian Hince made 70 saves, but it still wasn’t enough, as the K&A Golden Hawks beat the Bulldogs 3-2 in overtime.
That result despite a 12 man roster for the Bulldogs.
