A good start to the final week of hockey for the Dryden Ice Dogs.
The Ice Dogs held on to defeat the visiting Wisconsin Wilderness 7-5 Wednesday night.
Chris Varrin had 3-assists and says this in an important stretch for the team.
Varrin says the club is hoping to catch up and roll into the new year on a high.
Zach Kertz recorded a pair of goals, while Tim Kavanaugh, Derek McPhail, Mack Boyce, Chris Sitko and Chris Belhumer added singles.
Dryden travels to Fort Frances Friday, before ending 2013 Saturday at home against the Lakers.
