Ice Dogs Outlast Flyers

The Dryden Ice Dogs used their bench to their advantage as they beat the Sioux Lookout Flyers 9-2 in Sioux Lookout Friday night. The Flyers were once against short handed having just over 2 full lines for the whole game. Chad Liley led the Ice Dogs attacks with a hat trick. Tristan Allain had two goals while Kevin Burton, Garrett Nystedt, Chris Blacquire and Darren Turner all had singles. Sonny Albert made 15 saves. Maverick Blackhawk and Will Kinsman scored for the Flyers. David Novak faced 53 shots in the losing effort. Dryden will now have a week off while the Flyers travel to Fort Frances Saturday night.
