of the Dryden Ice Dogs is a proud man.
Larry Wintoneak is reacting after his young club was bounced from the
playoffs Saturday.
Wintoneak says his players battled adversity all season, especially
the 20-year olds.
He says although the loss is a bitter pill to swallow, he is proud of the growth of his young club.
Captain Colin Senkow is one of three players that played his last Junior game and says his club left nothing off the ice.
Matt Tryuba and Kyle Schroder are also over-agers that won’t be back.
The Borderland Thunder and Fort William North Stars will open the Bill Salonen Cup later this week in Thunder Bay.
The schedule has not been released.
