6-2 was the common theme in the Dryden Ice Dogs two game set against the Fort William North Stars this weekend. Dryden fell by that score Friday night and rebounded to win by it Saturday night. Dryden pulled away from a tight contest with 4 goals int he third for the win. Colin McIntosh netted another home Ice hat trick plus 1 for a 4 goal performance to power the Dogs. Kevin Burton and Ryan Helbling each potted singles. Sonny Albert stopped 21 shots for the win. With the win the Ice Dogs restored their 3 point lead at the top of the SIJHL standings. In other play the Fort Frances Jr. Sabres swept the Schreiber Diesels with a 5-3 win at home and the Marathon Renegades downed the Thunder Bay Bulldogs 3-1 at home.
