Ice Dogs Set For Big Weekend

The Dryden Ice Dogs are preparing for a big weekend on the ice at home.
General Manager Brad Boyko was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today and says the Dogs will be hosting the English River Miners on Saturday at 7:30.
The contest is the annual Cancer Awareness game.
Boyko says proceeds from the game will go towards the oncology unit at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
He notes players will be wearing their special pink jerseys.
Standard Insurance sponsored the jerseys.
Boyko stresses the response from the community has been overwhelming and he’s hoping for a sell-out crowd.
On Friday, the Ice Dogs entertain the top ranked Thunder Bay North Stars.
