Ice Dogs Set to Face “Suspended” Team

The well rested Dryden Ice Dogs begin February in enemy territory, as they take on the Borderland Thunder tonight.
The Thunder are coming off a physical series split with the Fort William First Nation North Stars, while Dryden hasn’t seen game play since January 24th.
Last time the Ice Dogs and Thunder hooked up was November 26th, however Borderland has made several changes since that time.
Dryden is riding a 17 game unbeated streak.
The Thunder may be without 5 players and a head coach tonight.
Steven McLeod, Sean Councillor, Ian Lockman, Ryan Mayman and Head Coach Dave Allision have all been suspended after a bench clearing brawl Saturday night.
No word on if the Thunder plan to appeal the suspension.
Game time is 7:30 in Fort Frances.
Mike Ebbeling and Shawn Gladwish will have the call at 7:15.

Steven McLeod- 1 game for Checking from behind major penalty.
Sean Councillor- 7 games for Third man in, leaving the bench and two fights in the same stoppage.
Ian Lockman- 6 games for leaving the bench and two fights in the same stoppage.
Ryan Mayman- 1 game for third man in.
Coach Dave Allison- 1 game.

Fort William First Nation North Stars
Mike Bushby- 7 games for 2 fights in the same stoppage, leaving bench, third fighting infratction
Trevor Abraham- 7 games for 2 fights in the same stoppage, leaving bench, third fighting infraction.
Coach Todd Howarth- 1 game.
