Ice Dogs Stay Alive

The Dryden Ice Dogs got the job done on home ice, as they scored a 5-4 victory over the Fort William First Nations North Stars to extend the best of seven SIJHL championship series. trailing 2-1 after the first then the Ice Dogs and North Stars scored 6 goals in the second the final by Tyler MacDonald with 16 second remaining. That goal would prove to be the winner as the North Stars could not capitalize on the 6 minutes of power play time to start the third. Joel Poshtar and Tylor Desjarlais each scored twice for the Dogs while Liam Johnston faced 47 shots in the win. The Bill Salonen Cup series will now go back to THunder Bay for game 5 Tuesday night with the Ice Dogs trailing the best of 7, 3 games to 1
