For the first time this season the Dryden GM Ice Dogs offence and defence were both firing on all cylinders.
Jordan Wilde continued his great play in net and earned his first SIJHL shutout with 26 saves as Dryden GM cruised to a 9-0 win over visiting Minnesota Friday night.
The offence had their way on the other end, firing 47 shots on the Minnesota net.
Eric Stout led the scoring barrage with 3 goals, while Dylan Winsor from Ear Falls added a pair.
Cameron Coutre, Reid Manning, Jacob Siebenga and Dawson Boehm added singles.
The Ice Dogs scored once on the power play and added a short handed goal, while killing 12 man advantages for the Iron Rangers.
In Thief River Falls, a Red Lake Miners comeback fell short as they fell to the Norskies 5-3.
Red Lake trailed 3-1 but tied the game before allowing two more goals.
Bryce Young scored a pair of goals, while Stratton Pickett added a single.
Zach Willms suffered the loss.
Meantime, Thunder Bay continued their winning streak with a 2-1 win over Fort Frances.
The North Stars lead the SIJHL with 17 points, while four teams, including Dryden GM and Red Lake, all sit with 10 points.
