Ice Dogs Win In OT

The Dryden Ice Dogs finally found some late game magic en route to a 6-5 overtime victory Sunday afternoon.

The Dogs trailed the K&W Wolverines by two goals with six mintues remaining when Dryden quickly struck back, including the game tying goal with 35 seconds left. Kyle Heck was the hero with the game tying and winning goals.

Heck finished the contest with a hat trick.

Chad Liley, Kevin Burton and Spencer Gyori also found the back of the net. Dryden had dropped two consecutive games in overtime. Curtis Barker picked up the win.

In other SIJHL action, the Fort William North Stars blanked the Fort Frances Lakers 8-0.
