It didn’t take long for new Ice Dogs coach Randy Lulashnyk to win his first SIJHL game as Dryden scored a 5-2 win over the Thunder Bay Bearcats in the Lakehead to open the season. Veteran Brendan MacDonald led the attack with 2 goals and an assist while Liam Walker, Cody Jefferies also added singles. Newcomer Trevor Lind notched a power play marker. Graeme Harrington made 46 saves in his debut for Dryden. The Ice Dogs will not have long to savour the victory as they meet the Bearcats at 1:30 Thunder Bay time at the Fort William First Nation Arena Sunday afternoon.
