Idea of a New Town Hall Brought Forward

There is no immediate plan to replace an aging Town Hall in Atikokan.
The Ratepayers Association surveyed residents about constructing a new
building and a majority of the 500 respondents said no to the idea.
Mayor Dennis Brown says other options were presented.
He says the Town could relocate to the Industrial Mall or move to another location in the Downtown core
Brown suggests they could renovate the 53-year-old Town Hall but believes it would cost the same to construct a new one.
Council will look at the options the next few weeks.
