A Southern Ontario man has been charged after an Ignace Taxi driver was assaulted on the weekend.
OPP were called to the Westwood Motel after a cabbie was attacked by someone who had refused to pay.
Police say the accused left the cab, held out some money, then started punching the driver when he reached for the cash.
The driver managed to break free however during the struggle, the car shifted into reverse, running over the victim.
The man suffered minor injuries.
A 41-year-old Mississauga man has been charged with assault and is slated to appear in court September 9th.
