Illegal Hunting Fine

An incident that dates back to November, 2011 has resulted in a fine for an Ear Falls hunter.
Jeffrey Sawchuk has been fined $1,200 for shooting a deer from a roadway.
Court heard that Sawchuk had a white-tailed deer in the back of this truck and he told a conservation officer that he shot it earlier in the day in the South Bay Road area, northeast of Ear Falls.
An investigation found that he had shot the deer from the road.
