ATV Driver Charged In Hudson

Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout are reporting impaired driving charges in Hudson during a well-being check.

Police say on July 26th they spotted a man driving an ATV on a public roadway without a helmet and they attempted to intercept the driver.

Police then say he ignored their demands and accelerated into a nearby bush area.

OPP say the driver of the ATV was found with help from the Lac Seul Police Service officers, one of which sustained non-life threatening injuries after being hit by the ATV.

Police say after a struggle, David Glen TANNER (51) of Hudson was charged with:

  • Fail to stop at accident resulting in bodily harm contrary to section 320.16(2) of the Criminal Code
  • Resist Peace Officer contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus) contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
  • Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm contrary to section 320.13(2) of the Criminal Code

He was released on a promise to appear in court on August 27th.
