Impaired Driving Charges Laid By Sioux Lookout OPP

Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout are reporting multiple impaired driving charges over the Victoria Day Long Weekend.

Police say on May 19th at around 8pm they were dispatched to a report of an assault in Hudson.

OPP say after further investigation, it was determined that an individual was ejected from a truck box that was being driven by an impaired driver.

The injured man was air lifted to Thunder Bay with life threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old Stacy Kejick of Thunder Bay was charged with driving while ability impaired to cause bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle to cause bodily harm, driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and driving a motor vehicle with no license.

He was released and will appear in Sioux Lookout court on June 26th.

Police also say another incident occurred on May 19th at around 5pm when they were dispatched to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver.

Officers found the vehicle and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

As a result of investigation 28-year-old Errol Rae was charged with driving with more then 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood.

Rae was released and will appear in Sioux Lookout Court on June 5th.
