Inaugural Home Opener For Miners

The anticipation has been building and the moment is finally here for junior hockey fans in the Ear Falls-Red Lake area.
The English River Miners make their home debut tonight against the Wisconsin Wilderness.
Team President Jason Vinet says the new team has been highly competitive and they are ready to make that turn and win their first game.
Vinet says fans are starving to see junior hockey and he’s expecting a sell-out crowd the next couple of games.
He notes they are happy to be playing at home as they have been on the road since late August.
Vinet says it’s their goal to make the Ear Falls Arena a tough place to play in for visiting teams, while providing a fun atmosphere for fans.
Game time tonight is 7 o’clock.
English River will face Fort Frances on Friday and Thunder Bay on Saturday.
9 of the next 11 games for the Miners will be at home.
