Increase To The Tax Levy in 2013

The Kenora District Services Board is increasing the tax levy in 2013.
The Budget was approved last week and the regional tax levy will increase by 171 thousand dollars.
CAO Dan McNeill says the increase is going towards specific plans such as the housing renewal and EMS equipment renewal plan.
McNeill adds the levy will vary between municipalities from a reduction of 3.96 percent in Ignace to an increase of 9.33 percent in Red Lake.
