Level 1 precaution’s have been initiated at the Sioux Lookout Meno-Ya-Win
Health Center, after a patient with influenza was admitted.
Screening for flu-like symptoms is in place at the door and visitor restrictions are in effect.
Official’s stress that only 1 visitor will per permitted to enter the building and note the public is requested to not visit unless it’s an emergency.
The move is a precautionary one and is aimed at reducing the exposure of influenza.
