Only two commuities in northwestern Ontario have been approved for funding under the first phase of the Federal/Provincial Infrastructure program.
The funding was announced this morning, and the City of Kenora will be recieving 666 thousand dollars from each level of government to help replace a marine water line.
The Town of Ear Falls will be getting 459 thousand dollars from the federal and provincial governments for a number of road reconstruction projects.
Under the infrastructure funding, the municipalities have to provide one third of the funding.
