Infrastructure Funding For Local Communities

Area communities are celebrating with the arrival of federal gas tax revenue.

In total, municipalities in the Kenora riding are sharing $4,711,392

The top-up doubles the amount of money for communities and can be spent on various projects including water and waste-water upgrades, local roads and sports and recreational facilities.

Kenora MP Bob Nault says “The federal Gas Tax Fund investment will help stimulate economic growth in the North and will also ensure that Northerners enjoy a high quality of life for generations to come.”

Kenora: $1,955,394
Dryden: $970,434
Sioux Lookout: $641,734
Red Lake: $594,976
Ignace: $153,140
Ear Falls: $130,716
Machin: $119,122
Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls: $91,730
Pickle Lake: $54,146
