Infrastructure Funding Released

The Federal and Provincial Government’s have released in excess of $11-million for infrastructure projects across Northwestern Ontario.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford made the funding announcements Friday and Saturday.
Sioux Lookout received funds for a new Youth-Arts and Cultural Centre, while Ear Falls received cash for a new recreation Centre.
Ignace is welcoming cash to upgrade several roads in the community.
Atikokan will receive more than $2-million in Provincial and Federal dollars for repairs to Main Street and its municipal office.
Kenora received cash for several projects including the creation of the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre, upgrading the east and west Highway 17 entranceways and roads and waterline repairs.
Rickford is expected to make a major funding announcement in Dryden Friday afternoon.
Money for the implementation of water meters is expected at that announcement.
