The inquest into the deaths of seven First Nation students who died while attending high school in Thunder Bay will move forward in the fall.
A recent revision to the Ontario Coroner’s Act means Ontario’s Chief Coroner will be able to appoint First Nation volunteers to the jury.
Chief Coroner Dr. Dirk Huyer says the inquest was stalled after there wasn’t enough aboriginal representation.
Huyer sees them entering the court room sometime in the early fall.
